Tracksy gives every product, collection and campaign its own short link, with UTM tags built in. Put one in your bio, another in the email, a third on the packaging, and see which one people actually tapped, from which country, on which phone.
Live demo · pick a store
Each demo store is three days into its Black Friday push with links already out in the wild. Make one more, share it, then open it on the phone below like a shopper would.
Now be the shopper
The phone shows the selected link where shoppers would meet it. Tap it and Tracksy logs the click, then sends you on to the page with the UTM tags attached. This one click is yours: the device, browser and system come from the browser you're using right now.
Country here is a guess from your time zone. The app uses the visitor's IP address.
Why one link per channel
A text message, an Instagram bio or a printed QR code often reaches your store with no referrer. The visit gets filed under Direct and the post that earned it gets no credit.
Paste the plain product URL into a text and your analytics sees a visitor out of nowhere. Give the text its own tagged link and the visit has a name.
Send every creator the same URL and all you know is that traffic went up. Give each one a link and you know who to book again.
Point the code on your packaging at a short link. When the season changes, change where the link goes. The 5,000 inserts in the warehouse keep working.
What it does
Everything happens inside your Shopify admin. Pick what to link to and Tracksy fills in the rest.
One click from any product.
UTMs you don't have to type.
Decide who gets in, and until when.
Every click, broken down.
Examples
Taken from the four demo stores above. Same products, one short link each time the product is shared somewhere new.
| Question | Demo store setup | What the clicks show |
|---|---|---|
| Did the text or the email work better? | NORTHWARD sends Cyber Monday by SMS (synck.sh/cyber30-sms) and by email (synck.sh/hoodie-email). | Clicks for each link side by side, and that almost every SMS click comes from a phone. |
| Which creator should I book again? | LUMÈRE gives each creator their own link to the Gold Sculpt Roller, like synck.sh/roller-maya. | Clicks per creator, plus how many came through the Instagram or TikTok in-app browser. |
| Where is my audience? | VOLTA links its Studio headphones from a YouTube review (synck.sh/studio-review). | Clicks by country. Germany comes third for the review, ahead of Canada, which is worth checking against shipping rates. |
| Does anyone scan the packaging? | HEARTH & HAUS puts a QR code on the candle insert that opens synck.sh/insert. | Scans over time. When fall ends, the link moves to the Black Friday collection without a reprint. |
| How do I stop a sale link after the sale? | Any store sets an expiry date on its Black Friday link and picks the homepage as the page after. | Clicks after the end date still count, and shoppers land on a page that exists. |
| Who gets the wholesale price list? | NORTHWARD protects synck.sh/wholesale with a password it gives to stockists. | Only people with the password get through, and each visit still shows up in the clicks. |

FAQ
When someone opens a short link, Tracksy records the click before sending them on. The country comes from the visitor's IP address. The device, browser and operating system come from their browser.
It counts clicks. For sales, add UTM tags to the link: they travel with the visitor to your store, so Shopify's own reports can show which source the sessions and orders came from.
Yes. Edit the destination in Tracksy and the same short link, or the QR code already printed on your packaging, sends people to the new page.
You pick a date and a page to send people to afterwards, such as your homepage or a collection. Nobody lands on a sale that has ended.
They use the synck.sh domain with an alias you choose, for example synck.sh/glow-tiktok. Each link also gets a QR code.
No. VOLTA, LUMÈRE, NORTHWARD and HEARTH & HAUS are fictional brands made for this demo. Product photos come from Burst by Shopify; links and clicks are demo data, except the click you make yourself in the phone.
Install Tracksy, make a link for the product you're about to share, and by tomorrow you'll know where the clicks came from.
The stores are made up. Your next Instagram post, text or email isn't. Give it a link and see who taps it.
